The course provides a basic knowledge of the characteristics of the pathogenetic mechanisms responsible for the main pathological contexts in humans. Starting from the description of the cellular, molecular and functional mechanisms at the fundamentals of the general etiology (causes) and the genetic pathology, the class covers the general concepts of health and sickness, examining in depth the etiology and the mechanisms (pathogenesis) that lead to sickness.

The traditional chinese medicine sinks its roots in the oldest sciamanic traditions existing in China about five thousands years ago and it develops following a path that arrives to our days, passing through the Imperial Academy. The course provides the basic knowledge of the traditional chinese medicine, how it was born, its underlying phylosophy and how it spread to the Western world. Moreover, the class covers the basics of the discipline and of the Chinese thought, the meridians system, the position of its main points and the importance of the meridians along with organs and innards.

Fundamentals of Counseling and Work on the Emotions
What are the emotions and where do they stem from? What is the difference between emotions and feelings? These are some of the main topics that will be addressed during this theoretical and experiential course that leads to the discovery of oneself and of one’s emotions. The concept of empathy will also be covered: how to relate with the other and how to best tune in to other people’s interests, desires, emotions and thoughts.
