To communicate means to “put in common”, trasmitting and receiving information. The course introduces some of the basics concepts of the communication from the perspective of the main sensory channels: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Being able to understand how a person represents reality in their mind, without the filters of one’s beliefs and value structures, is essential to create harmony between the speakers, receive attention and ensures a correct reception of the message. Techniques to empower perceptual skills and read non verbal and paraverbal communication will also be discussed. Moreover, the class will cover the metamodel, the linguistic tool that allows to access to the deep structure of the language, providing a clear understanding of the specific meaning behind the words.
