The course covers the animal cell, with particular attention to its structure and functions, the chromosomes and the molecular basis of inheritance, the cell division and differentitation. The class will also discuss the chimical structure and the transformation procesess of the different cell components and their metabolism, the membrane transport and the cell communication.
